Fragrance of Praise

One of my favorite songs is “I pour my love on you” and whenever I sing this song, I remember Mary and the anointing at Bethany.
"Then Mary took a twelve-ounce jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard, and she anointed Jesus' feet with it and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with fragrance"  John 12: 3

Oh what a wonderful way to worship her master and lover of her soul.  It was so beautiful, so pure, so sacrificial that one of the disciples, Judas Iscariot spoke out against it “That perfume was worth a small fortune. It should have been sold and the money given to the poor” (vs.5)

Is there anything as too much worship? I don’t think so. God has been too faithful to us and even if every part of our bodies were orchestrated to sing and we do it all week/month/year……it wouldn’t still be enough.
You can never worship God too exuberantly for God knows, even if your critics don’t, that the rocks will cry out. Consider Jesus’ words in Luke 19:38-40 “But He answered and said to them, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.’’

Nothing builds intimacy like the words of love and appreciation. When you take time to stand and bathe your soul in the presence of God, people will say “what a waste” but it does not matter because they don’t know what God saved and delivered you from and that that is how you ENTER, ENJOY AND THRIVE in the presence of God
So put aside yourself consciousness and concern over what others think and pour out your heart in worship. Let the fragrance of your praise fill the earth, it’s never too much. God bless you
