Becoming a Sweetheart

My grandma was such a nice person, at least as long as I can remember, before she passed on. She wasn’t a perfect person but was surely a sweetheart so much that her response to situations often annoyed me because I didn’t know how to act like her. lolz
The past few weeks of my life has been quite challenging but beautiful because I’m learning new things especially how to be really nice. A few weeks ago I started studying Christian books and the Bible on godly character and I’ve been Changed (I’m still a work in progress though).
What do I mean when I say sweetheart? I mean Tender-hearted, kind, thoughtful, cheerful, generous, Patient, Understanding etc.

The above description is a mirror of how the fruits of the spirit are manifested in our daily lives and dealings with people.  Do you know that the kind of words that proceed out of your mouth and your disposition will either attract people or repel them from you?
Being grumpy, unforgiving, harsh, demanding, negative, quick tempered, a fault finder, gossip, judgmental (self gratifying nature) is not the nature of Jesus.

It’s time for a change because the real test of our heart for God is our desire to truly please Him, in words and in works.  Do you want to change and become humble, kind, gentle and meek like Jesus?  Submit yourself to the Lord and in humility ask Him to transform you into the image and nature of Jesus.

Fruit bearing does not come just from church attendance, prayer vigils, positive confession or bible reading, it comes from abiding in the Lord and allowing Him to abide in you. It is His divine presence that dissolves the hardness of your soul so that sweet-swelling fragrances pour forth from you.

     Grace!

Making for God first

When famine hit the land of Israel, God said to prophet Elijah, "go to Zarephath, I have commanded a widow to provide for you".
I kings 17:8-16
When she was approached by the prophet for a morsel of bread, she told him of her situation. The last meal was for her and her son after which they were prepared to die. The prophet contrary to the expected asked for a portion first with a promise that afterward she will never lack food (the oil and flour will not finish)

As impossible as that sounds given the circumstances, she obeyed -vs. 12-16 . That widow of Zarephath is today a reference for believers because she dared to put God first before her own need
What you have (little or much) is not a problem to God. He does not need much to start with in order to do something great, just a willing heart.
When God's work has a need, He looks for someone with a seed, stretches their Faith and both the giver and God's work are blessed.

Most times, the key to our breakthrough is found in Elijah's words - Do not Fear but make me a cake from it First- vs13

Even when it seems too difficult to do, never be afraid to put God first.
He needs you to surrender "your little" in order to give you "His much".
For every seed there is an increase. When God's work has a need, no matter how much or little, sow your seed.
Remember, this is not limited to financial seed, it could be time and other resources.

Have a blessed day, God bless you.

New month, SAME GOD!

Count your blessings for the month of June... how many are they? My guess is UNCOUNTABLE!!!

I woke up this morning and started counting my blessings (hard to count) and realized God's been Faithful (as always) and Iv been blessed with so much, even the things I didn't pray for.
So, has the Lord been good to you this past month? has He done anything wonderful? Then expect more this month of July.

Because, if He provided for you before, He will provide again

If He healed you before, He will heal you again

If He brought out you of an ugly situation before, He can bring you out again

If He saved you from pain before, He can save you again

God can never change! situations can, You and I can but not God. Set goals for the new month, commit them to God's hand and never forget: If He DID IT before, He'd DO IT AGAIN...He's THE SAME GOD!

 Happy New Month Beautiful People!
